Women’s Ministries

Turning Faith, Hope, and Love into Action

“United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

Meeting on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 5:30 – 6:30 PM in Rooms 104-105, the United Methodist Women (UMW) bible study group  is currently exploring James W. Moore’s book, “God Was Here and I Was Out to Lunch”.  This study explores how, due to our rigid preoccupation with our busy-ness and routines, we fail to sense or appreciated the presence of God all around us; consequently, we miss out on the chance to tap in to common sense, we miss out on the chance to love God and others, and we miss out on the chance to connect with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  In fifteen chapters, Moore highlights hallmarks of the Christian faith that are essential and life-giving for all persons, and which can be ours if only we learn to recognize God’s majesty when it is near and open our lives to the change God offers.
Upcoming bible study dates:
July 12 and 26
August 9 and 23
September 13 and 27
October 11 and 25
November 8 and 22
December 13 and 27

United Methodist Women Monthly Meeting
UMW will meet each third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM.  The monthly UMW programs, and Reading Program, bring awareness and empower us to live in community in today’s context and extend community to others.  Through Bible studies, stories of United Methodist Women’s work, a call to action and takeaways, the meeting programs challenge us to community formation and faith-filled living.
You can explore Reading Program titles at http://www.unitedmethodistwomen.org/readingprogram

All are Welcome!
