What do We Know?
Being faithful to God’s way invites us to be brave, to have the courage to listen, consider, and learn anew. Sometimes the hardest voices we face are those from our own past, comments or teachings or beliefs of people we loved very much, parents, family, church leaders. Very difficult to set aside what we have inherited, often from people we trust, revere, adore, who were passing on what they understood, what they knew, what they inherited. I believe we owe sacred scripture a responsible reading, seeking first to hear what the speaker and author are saying in the text. This series will sort through what scripture says about human sexuality, and what it does not say.
